The Nigerian Police Force has released the CEO of Chocolate City Audu Maikori 24 hours after arresting him in lagos in connection with a sereis of tweets about four weeks ago in which he alleged the killings of some southern kaduna indigenes by fulani herdsmen.
According to his Lawyer Mr. Mark Jacobs, Mr. Maikori was released around 6:30pm after providing a surety but is expected to return to the Police Headquarters on monday morning.
Tweeting about his release on twitter, he wrote
"Yesterday i was released on bail due to the immense support & voice of all the great people in Nigeria, i do not take your support lightly".
